Dide Su Bilgin is a Turkish-American filmmaker born to two plant biologists.

She is a graduate of the University of British Columbia's Film Production Program and was the host of the Vancouver Turkish Film Festival in 2018. Her first producing credit is streaming on CBC Gem, titled Breakaway (2019).  In 2022, Dide Su was chosen as one of 15 emerging directors for the Vancouver International Film Festival’s Catalyst Program. Later selected as an inaugural director to collaborate in the Composer Filmmaker Accelerator Program in 2023, she had the opportunity to record compositions with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Dide Su's short film Just Me and the Dogs (2025) screened with live accompaniment at the VIFF AMP closing ceremony.  She has worked in film and television development at BRON Studios across projects including House of Gucci, The Green Knight, Joker, Monkey Man, and the series KIN (Seasons 1–2).
With a focus on narrative films, Dide Su is interested in expressing the unplaceable nostalgia of the third-culture experience. Her works have a neo-anthropological slant, examining the evolving human condition in an increasingly multicultural world. She recently produced the narrative feature film ‘A Welcome Distraction’ , which premiered at the 44th Annual Vancouver International Film Festival in October 2025. She is currently pitching the TV Series MIDGIRLS, along side co-writers Adriana Marchand, Carolina Martinez, and Tanner Munson.
